Call for Action – Handing Out MSMA Brochures
Tuesday, June 24 – Primary Election
7:00 am to 8:00 pm —Local Polls
Maryland Smart Meter Awareness is an all volunteer, grassroots organization. For MSMA to be successful we need more people to volunteer their time and energy.
We have grown to almost a 1000 members, doubling our membership in less than 6 months. But we now need to activate every member we can muster to get the word out to our fellow Marylanders about the problems with smart meters.
Utilities are spending millions of dollars to ‘educate’ the public about smart meters. BGE alone has allocated $65,000,000 for public outreach. The only way we can counter this is to get the word out whenever we have a chance. We have very few relatively FREE opportunities to reach large crowds. The June gubernatorial primary is one of those golden opportunities.
We are asking as many people as possible to hand out MSMA brochures at their personal polling place. Please call or email Rebecca Hanna-Diener if you would be able and willing to do this. We need to set this up ASAP in order to know how many brochures to print and get to volunteers in time.
If you would prefer to print the brochures and the inserts yourself, that would be great and you can claim it as a tax deduction as we have 501c3 status. The link for the brochure and insert appears at the bottom of this email. If you are printing these yourself, we suggest that the insert be on a light shade of colored paper and the brochure in white. Since there are 3 inserts per page you will have to cut the inserts in thirds and “stuff” the brochures. Some printers will do this for you.
Thank you for your consideration.
