I wrote to my candidates running for office asking for their stand on Smart Meters and the imposed fees. To date, I have only heard from Cathy Vitale expressing her concern about the unknown effects on our health. However, I am not confident that she would take a strong stand against them since she said a smart meter was installed at her residence without her knowledge. If I don’t hear from “Big Ed” Reilly, I will do a write in before I place a check next to his name since he is running unopposed. Our family is finding him to be a big disappointment in responding to other matters as well.

Since I have refused a smart meter BGE has been telling me my old meter is not working. BGE came out once and replaced it with a new analogue meter, now they are saying this meter is not working and I must have a new meter installed. Can anyone tell me what my rights are with regard to this matter. They say it is better for me to have them come out an change it again as right now they are estimating my bill, but I hardly use any gas just my stove top. I have been here for six years and never had a problem with my meter until I refused the smart meter then all of a sudden mine isn’t working properly. Should I write the meter reading down before they change it is does it automatically set to what I have used? How can tell if it is an analogue or smart meter they are installing? I am quite fed up of having to stay home to give access as they let me down twice last time. Do I have to give them access and allow them to change the meter again? Thanks in advance for any information!

The disappearance of flying insects came at the time of the meter installation last fall. I don’t know if related but cell towers and smart meters both may be impacting insects.

I have noticed this summer that there are very few flying insects; only a few around our lights at night. No bees, no beetles , no moths. Nothing but one or two. Something us very wrong.
